The model:  Mark debuted this boat for 2011 and it's very fast, like most of his boats.  Preseason testing showed great promise and the boat showed glimpses of incredible speeds.  However, handling problems in race conditions and a few gremlins have slowed the progress.  Mark will either get if figured out or he will switch to another scary fast model of the 2010 Miss Albert Lee that he also tested in the off-season.  It has shown even faster speeds than this boat and can reach a speed of 60mph in the straightaway.  We'll see what the future holds for the Peters & May.

The real boat:  This boat, under new sponsorship from the overseas shipping company, was campaigned by the Schumacher Racing Team in 2010 and involved in a Gold Cup accident in Detroit.  It slammed into a wall at high speed and was destroyed after the skid fin let loose coming out of the tight corner there.  Driver J.W. Meyer suffered only a broken foot in the accident and was considered very lucky.
