The model:  Matt is new to CT in 2008 and made his impressive debut at the Mapes Mile High Race.  He qualified for the Final heat, but a motor failure forced an early withdrawal.  Look for good things from Matt as he gets his feet wet again and makes more modifications to the boat.  Matt is one of the guys from way back who competed in 1/16th scale back in the early days of fast electrics in this area.  The model is from the Campbell molds, but Matt did all of the nice finish work on the hull.  

The real boat:  This boat had a knack for being very consistent and did well in season points because of it.  It seemed to handle better when it was outfitted with the more conventional rear wing as opposed to the original cathedral style wing it had when it debuted four years earlier as the Circus Circus.  It later ran as Domino's Pizza in 85.
